• Understand what can and cannot be done with cast-in-place concrete
  • Get enough money in the budget to achieve the quality you want
  • Get enough time in the schedule to achieve the quality you want
  • Insist on collaboration between the Concrete Contractor and the Architect
  • Do not accept value engineering that results in quality you cannot accept
  • Preplan.  Preplan.  Preplan.
  • Do a mockup of the most challenging condition with the same materials and process that will be used for the actual work
  • Create and enforce a detailed installation checklist.
  • Commit to a relationship of trust between the Owner, Consultants, Contractor, and Subcontractor.
