Pros and Cons of Email Marketing and Some Numbers: 5, 63, 19, 33
I’m baaaaaack, but not in the creepy way, I’m back in the friendly way. Let the celebrations begin! We’ll start tonight’s party off with my newest piece of artwork: the pros and cons thing. Just so you don’t get to the end of the article and feel let down, those numbers mean nothing, they’re just the first numbers I thought of off the top of my head.
Let’s start with the positive shall we?
- It’s everywhere!!
*Queue Wilhelm Scream* The internet, that is. A huge benefit of email marketing is the reach of the internet. Studies from that wonderful University mentioned in the last article have shown that, like, a lot of people use the internet. Pretty official evidence if you ask me. But in all honesty, everyone in the modern industrial world uses the internet with increasing frequency which makes it a great marketing tool. Just don’t fill the internet up with all your junk, it’s not a big truck you can just dump things on, it’s a series of tubes!
- It’s, well, computerized
Sending a message to your list is super easy, as is explained step by step by that website. Once you get your target list and what you’re going to say figured out the rest basically sorts itself out. If that’s too hard for you then you probably also find basic tasks like breathing difficult so just ask your hired breathing helper to figure it out, I’d bet they could do that AND help you breathe!
- It’s like a dog that doesn’t leave hidden “treasure” for you
You can’t, well, shouldn’t pet it either. I feel like that’d be a little strange, petting your computer, but if it makes you happy…. What it does do, however, is bring back the results of your sent emails. Assuming you held your breath for a few seconds while your assistant signed you up with this email marketing company then one of the great services they offer is reports on the emails sent. The report tells you the vital information like who opened the email, who didn’t get it because of an error, and how to convince your wife to let you buy that new set of golf clubs.
Now we jump into the pool of cons, oh man I hope this isn’t too cold!
- You can get confused with over-processed meat
Well, not YOU specifically maybe but your emails can if you’re not safe. Great way to avoid this, look at my other articles, they’ll help you keep yourself out of people’s spam filters.
- Explosions and stuff
If you don’t lick your screen once every few years, you’re computer will…. explode? I can’t think of any other cons but I feel like an exploding computer would be a pretty massive con. I don’t know how you’d tie that back to email marketing but I bet there’s a way.
Here ends the transmission. Paul signing off. Over and out.
