3 Main Aspects of Marketing
As a recent newcomer to aspects of marketing as well as the business world, I thought I would pass on some advice to other newcomers as to the important aspects of companies involved in the business world as well as marketing within your company.
1. It’s all about image.
It’s important to get your name out there. I found out that blogs, Facebook, and Twitter are a very important tool for companies. In the growing online domination over hi-tech companies, blogs and other social networks are just as important (if not more important) as a company’s contact information, such as a phone number or e-mail address.
In addition, graphics and layouts play an important part in the success of the spread of the company’s awareness to potential consumers. Companies with blogs and news feeds that include graphic arts and careful layouts, create more buzz by consumers than bland statements of facts.
2. Reluctance to check out competitors can be a huge detriment to the success of your own business.
It is important to compare your own companies marketing and business techniques to those of close competitors. You can do this by acting as a subscriber to their internet newsletters or participating in a free trial or demo. This helps to determine the things that are working and not working for your competitor, so you can adjust your techniques based on their triumphs and failures. Check out our previous blog post: Check Out What the Competition Is Doing.
3. Great customer service is key.
No matter how large or small your company is; helping customers by setting up live tutorials, helpful blogs, and overall concern for the customer goes a long way. Treat your customers like friends, as well as your friends like customers. You can integrate business and friendship into a relationship that is beneficial to both parties. Facebook and other social networks help to fuse these bonds by alerting your friends and acquaintances to your business services as well as keep them updated on your personal business and its endeavors. When you offer your friends your business services, they will appreciate it and spread the word to more consumers.
Boomerang implements all of this into our everyday services. You can find out more about how Boomerang can help you create exciting blogs as well as better business relations by contacting us at 1-800-779-7792 or http://boomerang.com.

I’ve got to share my 2 cents on your rather blanket statement about marketing.
Remember our opinion doesn’t matter - only our customers. And we’re not out customer.
1) I don’t agree that it’s ALL about image as you describe. Being on the web - I agree. Facebook Twitter, all that are very important.
As a student of the great marketers over the last 50 years have proved time and time again that the addition of graphics doesn’t always improve the result. The results I’m talking about is…selling stuff and causing people to take action - that’s our job as marketers. Throughout my career I have had “plain and ugly” crush “beautiful and colorful” designs for clicks, opens, conversions and yes sales. Always test and measure everything including design. Let the market vote with dollars or clicks and then adjust. (sorry designers
2) Competition. This is another area that you have to be very careful about. It may “look” like a triumph from outside their walls to us. When in reality it may be a huge failure. Stick to your own strategic direction and be clear on that and you won’t care what the other guys are doing.
3) Spot on.

Typo in my comment above. In the 1) section at the end.
Dohhhhhh
I said, ” And we’re not OUT customer.”
I meant to say, “And we’re not OUR customer.”
Thanks for fixing that…
