What are Twitter #hashtags?
Ever wonder why people use Twitter with "#" in front of certain words or phrases? These are called #hashtags. I see them as a way for people to easily search your Tweets based on content. According to the Twitter Fan Wiki: Hashtags are a community-driven convention for adding additional context and metadata to your tweets. They're like tags on Flickr, only added inline to your post.
